Our Accommodation

Welcome to our farm stay retreat!

The LINNK at Missing Link Adventure Tours is a year-round retreat in a peaceful, rural setting on an active organic farm. It’s truly a place to get away.

Planning for Winter 2025? Check out all the great activities available during your stay.

Situated on an old Finnish homestead, on the traditional lands of the Anishinabek and Mississauga Nations, the property is a mix of field, wetland and forest, along with our one acre market garden which can be seen along our main trail. We built the LINNK between 2019 and 2022 with the goal of providing a clean, open and comfortable space. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Throughout our building process, we did as much as we could to purchase sustainably produced supplies, reduce construction waste and re-purpose older items.

Bathrooms

There are two bathrooms across the hall from the bedrooms. Each bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and sink.

There is a washer and dryer in the large bathroom for use at an extra cost. If you need to use the laundry, please ask in advance, and we’ll get you set up. We will provide the laundry detergent.

Main Floor

The kitchen, dining room and living room space are on the main floor and all in one space.

The kitchen serves as our commercial kitchen for the farm and for special events we host when we have no guests. We have a good assortment of pots and pans, along with other functional kitchen items like bakeware, measuring cups, spoons, graters, citrus juicer, etc. The stove is a gas top with an electric oven. Because it’s a commercial kitchen, there are numerous sinks.

Off the main area, there’s a large screened-in porch that can be used in warmer weather. There is a picnic table on the porch that sits 12 and Muskoka chairs for lounging.

What To Bring

Footwear – slippers or sandals for indoors and sturdy walking shoes or rubber boots for outdoors.

A swimsuit in the summer! We are close to two public beaches on Big Doe and Middle Doe.

We are situated between two small towns, Burk’s Falls and Sprucedale, with basic amenities. If there are specific items you’d like, please bring them with you.

We are in bug country! Please be aware that we have blackflies, mosquitoes and deerflies. Bug jackets are recommended for certain times of the year! We have a large screened-in porch allows you to relax outside when the bugs are out.

Note On Wifi

We have Wifi, but it is not reliable or sufficient for downloading music, movies, etc. If there is something specific you need during your stay, we recommend downloading it prior to your visit.

Guest Privacy

The LINNK is a part of our active and working farm. While guests have private use of the guesthouse, we live beside it (treed for privacy), and we are usually home or around the farm. We won't come into the guesthouse unless you need us to (or if we are cooking for you), but you will likely see us at some point during your stay. We have a large and very friendly dog that is usually by our side. On the property, we ask that you stay on our main trails, which loops around a large portion of the acreage.

House Rules

  • 10 guests max
  • Check-in: after 2pm
  • Check-out: 11am
  • No pets
  • No smoking within the building or outside within 20 feet of the building

We'll provide further guidelines during your stay for the commercial kitchen and septic system. Most products used in daily life are not good for septic systems, and we encourage you to leave your regular products at home and use the soaps, shampoo and conditioner (septic and earth friendly) that we provide.

Optional Food Packages

When you stay with us, you have the option of adding on food packages created with what is seasonally available and tasty! All of our dishes are based on using whole, nutritious foods.
