We invite you to us for an immersive weekend (2 nights/3 days) of gravel biking, field-to-fork food experiences, & meeting new friends at our 2025 Gravel Grazer Getaway Weekend series.
Attendees will spend the weekend cycling around the Almaguin Highlands, Doe Lake and Burk's Falls. Come with friends or come alone and make friends during this one of a kind weekend!
Whether you are a beginner or advanced rider, there are terrains suitable for your skill level that has been curated meticulously by our host and local adventure cycling expert Rob and his partner Jullia, co-creators of Missing Link Adventure Tours and Santosha Farm.
The food will be a collaboration between Pedals and Provisions and Julia of Santosha Farm! Expect a celebration of the season with field-to-fork meals inspired by the Farm and surrounding area.
This event is brought to you by folks that love to ride, share a big table and eat great!
Quick background: In May of 2024, a group of friends stayed with us at Missing Link Adventure Tours for a weekend to take part in a local gravel bike event, add on some extra riding days and try out a post-ride meal by Julia and Santosha Farm. Sam from Pedals and Provisions Cycle Club was part of this group, and we got to bond over some great riding and sharing good food with friends - which is a great way to meet someone! The Gravel Grazer is the follow-up to that first meeting, as our shared vision of creating two-wheeled exploring and culinary experiences meant we had to join forces.

SPECIAL NOTES:
Accommodation : We offer shared accommodation for guests stay at the LINNK. Expect 2-3 individuals per room, which include a mix of adult sized bunks and single beds. Read more about our accommodation here. We have 1 private room with a queen bed which we typically reserve for for co-facilitators. This MAY be available for guests. We have now hosted many retreat weekends and have had great reviews of our accommodation even when shared by folks just meeting for the first time.
Camping : A site for a tent will be provided in proximity to our main accommodation and be located close to parking. An outdoor shower and bathroom is available. The July session will still include some of our famous bug season. The September session may be cooler but is typically bug free. Covered bike storage is available. Any food or snacks should be stored in your vehicle, or we can provide assistance with storing a cooler inside. All the riding and grazing is the same, just the accommodation portion is different from our standard option. Algonquin Outfitters is a very well equipped and located in Huntsville, if you need to rent some camping gear for the weekend.
Routes : Participants are provided with a GPX file or route through Strava or RideWithGPS. We strongly recommend participants be able to self-navigate. Routes are not marked. Participants can choose to form groups of equal pace, and this typically happens. Participants are free to complete the routes at their own pace. Routes include optional stops as highlights of the area, from local attractions, food providers and local artists, for example. It is each participants responsibility to follow the rules of the road and ride within their ability and comfort level. There is a standard route each day which is intended for experienced recreational cyclists. Longer more advance options can be provided but may include less stop options and may be more route. Shorter more accessible routes can also be provided, by participants may need to use their own vehicle to travel to starting points. Choosing longer or shorter options increases the likelihood of riding on your own.
Dietary Restrictions : In advance of each session, we will reach out to registered participants to confirm dietary requirements. For the meals provided at Missing Link Adventure Tours, we prepare custom meal plans for adventuring cyclists. Note that daily routes include lunch stops at local spots that may have limited options. Participants must let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions ahead of time.
Transportation : Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to Sprucedale. We encourage car-sharing and would be happy to connect attendees with each other for this purpose. The Ontario Northlander bus service has local stops within riding distance of our location. Check out their website for information on travelling with a bicycle.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
(21 days or more) Full refund, less processing fees, if the cancellation is made 21 days or more prior to the event start date.
(21 days to 7 days prior) A credit will be issued for a future event with Missing Link Adventure Tours if the cancellation is made between 21 and 7 days prior to the event start date.
(less that 7 days prior) Cancellations that are made less than 7 days before the event start date and attendees who do not show up will not receive a refund or credit and will forfeit their registration fee.
