If you are interested in activities other than cycling and are looking for some self-guided fun, Almaguin Highlands has many lakes and rivers to explore! Our farmstay is close to two public beaches, and there are many paddling options if you bring a canoe, kayak or SUP on Doe Lake, Little Doe, Magnetawan River, and Bear Lake. If you need to rent, you can stop at Algonquin Outfitters in Huntsville on your way here and there are many other outfitters in the region.

If you are interested in walking or hiking trails in Almaguin Highlands, there are a variety of trails located between Sprucedale, Kearney, and South River. See the following links to find out more, including trail descriptions, locations, and difficulty level.
