Our Accommodation
Welcome to our farmstay retreat!
The LINNK at Missing Link Adventure Tours is a year-round retreat in a peaceful, rural setting on an active organic farm. It’s truly a place to get away.
Situated on an old Finnish homestead, on the traditional lands of the Anishinabek and Mississauga Nations, the property is a mix of old field, wetland and forest, along with our one acre market garden which can be seen along our main trail. We built the LINNK between 2019 and 2022 with the goal of providing a clean, open and comfortable space. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We sought out the most environmentally friendly products we could while staying within the commercial building code to help conserve energy, reduce waste and reduce indoor off-gassing. Wherever possible, we re-purposed furniture and brought in good quality items we already had, such as dishes and cookware.

Bathrooms
There are two bathrooms across the hall from the bedrooms. Each bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and sink.
There is a washer and dryer in the large bathroom for use at an extra cost. If you need to use the laundry, please ask in advance, and we’ll get you set up. We will provide the laundry detergent.
Main Floor
The kitchen, dining room and living room space are on the main floor and all in one space.
The kitchen serves as our commercial kitchen for the farm and for special events we host when we have no guests. We have a good assortment of pots and pans, along with other functional kitchen items like bakeware, measuring cups, spoons, graters, citrus juicer, etc. The stove is a gas top with an electric oven. Because it’s a commercial kitchen, there are numerous sinks.
Please note the sinks are deep, and you need to bend over more for washing dishes. We can share a washing tip with you when you arrive to help make it more comfortable.
Off the main area, there’s a large screened-in porch that can be used in warmer weather. There is a picnic table on the porch that sits 12 and Muskoka chairs for lounging.

What To Bring
Footwear – slippers or sandals for indoors and sturdy walking shoes or rubber boots for outdoors.
A swimsuit in the summer! We are close to two public beaches on Big Doe and Middle Doe.
We are situated between two small towns, Burk’s Falls and Sprucedale, with basic amenities. If there are specific items you’d like, please bring them with you.
We are in bug country! Please be aware that we have blackflies, mosquitoes and deerflies in the spring and summer. We have bug jackets reserved for guests, and the large screened-in porch allows you to relax outside. We have worked outside on the farm for years without using bug spray and can provide a few tips related to time of day and clothing that can help you enjoy the outdoors.
Guest Privacy
Guests will have access to the full guesthouse, aside from a few rooms that are used for storage/utility. On the property, we ask that you stay on our main trails, which loops around a large portion of the acreage.
We live close to the guesthouse (treed for privacy), and we are usually home or around the farm. We won’t come into the guesthouse unless you need us to (or if we are cooking for you), but you will likely see us walking along the main trail or while you are out, as the guesthouse is situated between our house and our working vegetable farm. We have a large and very friendly dog that is usually by our side. We will respect your privacy but are on-site if you need anything!
House Rules
- 10 guests max
- Check-in: after 2pm
- Check-out: 11am

We’ll provide further guidelines in a house manual in regards to the commercial kitchen and our septic system. Most products used in daily life are not good for septic systems. We encourage you to leave your regular products at home and use the soaps, shampoo and conditioner (both septic and earth friendly).
